Dr. Paul MacLeod was appointed to the PEI Human Rights Commission on November 4, 2023. He holds a Bachelor of Physical Education, Bachelor of Education, Master of Humanities, Master of Education, Executive Master of Business Administration and a doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Calgary.
Paul returned home to PEI in 2020 after many years teaching at various schools, colleges and universities in South Korea, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar, and five years of leading an English language training program for newcomers to Canada and international students in Manitoba. Paul is an active volunteer in a number of educational groups including the Canadian National Consortium on Academic Integrity and the UPEI Working Group on Academic Integrity, was a Sport Lead for Freestyle Skiing for the 2023 Canada Games and is a volunteer rugby coach at Charlottetown Rural High School.
He has published numerous articles on academic integrity and international education and is a frequent presenter at local, national and international educational conferences. He is currently a sessional instructor at UPEI and a realtor.
