Lisa Goulden, K.C., joined the Commission as a Legal Officer in January of 2024. She graduated from Three Oaks Senior High School. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Prince Edward Island and her Bachelor of Laws degree from Dalhousie Law School. She was admitted to the Law Society of Upper Canada (Ontario) in 1994 and to the Law Society of Prince Edward Island in 1995.
After six years in general practice as a lawyer in Summerside, Lisa joined the PEI Crown Attorneys’ Office in 2001. Lisa served as a Crown Prosecutor for 22 years until transitioning to the PEI Human Rights Commission.
Lisa received her King’s Counsel designation in 2016. She has been a member of the PEI Coordinated Response to Adult Sexual Violence Task Force, the PEI Child Sexual Abuse Committee and the PEI Victim Services Advisory Committee.
